I participated in the 28th International Friendship salon on July 8.Many people participated
this salon in the Osadahigashi Community Center under the good weather in spite of the rainy season.
There are many kinds of events in the International Friendship Salon and many people always participate in the events about food. I think that people are interested in an event about daily life.
There are many kinds of events in the International Friendship Salon and many people always participate in the events about food. I think that people are interested in an event about daily life.
In this time people could communicate each other through dish of 4 countries. Each lecturers taught us how to cook each cuisine as below.
: Ms. LIM HYANG SOON taught us "Chijimi"
: Ms. Debora Taniguchi taught us " Papa rellena" (Peru cuisine). It is like a "korokke"(deep-fried food).
: Ms. Masako Yamaguchi taught us " sushi which to be cooked by themselves".
: Mr. and Ms. Montoya taught us coffee cake for dessert (Colombia cuisine).
Participants cooked from a preliminary stage. In spite of being a usual thing, the kitchen was full of heat of people and foods.
In the hall, participants showed magic like a professional, also they translated "Biwakoshukounouta" into English. Ms. Imawaka who plays an active part in music both at home and abroad participated this salon, and I recognized there is no border for "culture" again.

I hope that many people will participate this International Friendship salon for fun and eating nice food from now on. (Ms. Kitamura)
The recipes are available at RIFA.
