It is a bus tour in which both Japanese people and foreign residents have good relationship with each other, deepening the knowledge of Japanese culture. We visited Koryuji-temple and Eigamura luckily blessed with a fine weather in the midst of the coldest season called kanchu in Japanese. We observed a national treasure, mirokubosatsu. Any Japanese people even who have never visited Koryuji-temple, know that beautiful mirokubosatsu, a Buddhist saint. How did foreign residents feel about it?
We left Ritto as scheduled, heading for Koryuji-temple. We got off the bus and moved into the garden of the temple with listening to the explanation. A lot of Buddhist statues in line welcomed us at the building named Reihoden where the mirokubosatsu is put on display. Everyone looked seriously while observing each Buddhist statue because of the solemn atmosphere.
After that we went through meandering streets and arrived at the movie land at which the atmosphere was quite different from Koryuji-temple. It was soon lunch time. We enjoyed talking over the reserved lunch. Looking out of the window, we found some actors performing samurai hanging around. We finished eating in a hurry and rushed to the destination respectively. There were various performances which you can't watch all of them in one day such as a talk show by Ken Matsudaira, a walk rally, performances of sward fighting, games, sets for movies and so on. Everyone seemed to enjoy them. Although they seemed to see more, we had to leave there. They were busy talking unanimously on the bus about what they saw that day. We returned with a promise that we would have fun together again.
