I would like to have an opportunity to think how I participate with the international community. I would like to join cross-cultural communication and do grass roots interchange.

I joined in RIFA from this year. My occupation is an administrative scrivener, so I can meet many foreign residents through procedures in entry Bureau of administrative services, the consultation for nationality acquisition.
You know a lot of Japanese descent of the South America (Brazil, Peru) and their families live in Shiga. Also I really feel that people from Asia area (China, Korea, Philippine) are increasing. We can say that the globalization has become really close to us in this situation.
When they settle down in Japan or acquire Japanese nationality, I find complicated problems rapidly in the law recently.
I would like to interchange with people from many countries and to have an opportunity to think how I participate with the international society again. At the same time I hope you will continue to Guide us.
Every time we turn on the TV, we see topic about China. China becomes the center
of the world.
I went to china twenty years ago for the first time. Luckily I won the lottery of the event which was sponsored by the Prefecture of Board of Education so I went in a Chinese trip with my daughter who was fifth grade at that time. In those days China was not touristy.
We could not enter China directly so I went to Guangzhou via Hong Kong. In the zoo of Guangzhou, We could touch panda directly in the cage. I remembered that the hair of panda was stiff like a nylon scrubbing brush. I went to many places in China 6 times since then. Every time I realize that the airport is bigger and bigger and big factories are built. I am astonished to see how China is changing.
5 or 6 years have passed since I was interested in Chinese and learned it. Even now I can only speak a smattering of Chinese. But I would like to join cross-cultural communication and to lead exciting life. I hope that I am interested in Chinese and do grass roots interchange forever.
