RIFA Top Koryu Top Japanese

[This is a latter part of report from Hiromi Miyagi San, member of RIFA, to highlight his trip to northern Europe with his wife. Miyuko San finished her Swedish life as foreign student and returned to Japan on August 4, and she was enjoying a final summer of high school student life.]

Moved to Norway, final destination of our Trip

We moved to Norway, final destination of our trip.
A fjord is a creek which was formed by filling up sea water into U-shape valley being scraped by glacier about 10,000 years ago. The fjord we visited was Sogn fjord which was popular as longest and deepest one in the world.
We went to Bergen, registered as world heritage, using train, mountain railway, ferryboat, bus and transferring to another train, from Oslo . The fjord was in the rain. It was so huge in the scale as to be nondescribable in words and letter.
I strongly felt that I was now in the center of Mother Nature.

Norway, nation with high prices
Norway is a nation where prices are the highest in the northern Europe. According to my feeling, it might take 3 or more times than that of Japan. For instance, the water PET bottle with 500cc capacity was priced at 400 yen.

Bergen, a town we hope to visit again
Bergen we visited finally was a town I first knew at this trip.
Three countries were beautiful , but Bergen was most recommendable. There were sea, mount and beautiful street. I strongly hope to visit the town again if having a chance.
We ended 12 days trip with various kind of memories and left for home parting from our daughter at the Bergen Airport.

Trip epilogue
Through the trip, I could recognize a deepness of European histories and a pride of European people. They could say composedly “ this building was constructed 200-300 yeas ago.” But I was disappointed by such things that a scribbling on many walls, signboards and public facilities were conspicuous.
At the end of reports, I would like to say that we could have nice memories by home-staying in two countries due to personal connection and spending enjoyable time under their life style.
These are countries I hope to visit again by all means if having a chance.
